Quality Sleep

A few nights ago, I barely had enough sleep. Maybe I slept for about 2 hours the entire night because I was worked up about a particular issue. *Sigh*
I got out of bed grumpy with swollen eyes. I had a headache the entire day and achieved very little. My body desperately craved sleep.
Some people can function with little or no sleep but not me! I need my 6 - 7 hours of beauty sleep at night to operate like a normal human being. I am not one for afternoon naps. If you see me napping in the afternoon, I am either exhausted or ill.
The following night, I went to bed pretty early. I collapsed in bed and did not get up until I had slept to my heart’s content. Scratch that. Until my unruly alarm clock, screamed at me. I woke up feeling refreshed and had a great day afterwards.
How many hours of night sleep do you need to function? Are you one for daily naps or do you take 20-minute power naps to get re-energized during the work day? Is quality night sleep a big deal for you? Let me know.
