“I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear” – Martin Luther King Jr.
Since 1986, Americans have celebrated January 18 as Martin Luther King Jr. day in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. who was an American clergyman, activist, and a prominent leader in the Civil Rights Movement.
He fought tirelessly against racial injustice and led nonviolent protests against hatred and despair. His famous speech, “I have a dream” expressed his desire for a day when freedom and justice would reign in America. Many years after his death, this speech, and more importantly his legacy lives on.
What will your legacy be? What do you stand for? What will be written on your tombstone when you pass? What will you be remembered for?
- Make a difference today.
- The world needs to feel your impact.
- Speak up where necessary.
- Fight for what is right.
Until my next post, stay safe, stay strong and keep hope alive!
Love,
Peony N Spice
