Memories

Growing up, a picture frame with these words hung on the wall in the antechamber of our family home and I saw it every time I walked through the front door for years. The background color was green and the words were printed in black all wrapped up in a tiny frame with gold edges. I know. I remember it clearly. Later on, we moved houses but till date this frame is still intact and now in the library of my parents’ house.

And no. I do not have any earth shaking, ground breaking story surrounding this frame but the words are so apt. It is calming to know that Christ is ever present. Always near. The Head of my house. Is He is the Head of your house too? Are there items like this that your family has kept for decades?

I remembered these words today and thought to share.

You are not alone. He is there with you.
