Democracy Wins!

Hearty cheers to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, the newly elected President and Vice President of the United States.

It has been quite a journey for Joe Biden who previously ran for the US presidency twice without success. He has also suffered some personal losses including the death of first wife and 1-year old daughter in a car crash and lost an older son to cancer. After many failures and unfortunate incidents, he will now govern the most powerful nation of the world at age 78. I see a deep level of resilience, perseverance, and determination in his story.

Kamala Harris, born to a British-Jamaican dad and an Indian mom, is now the first female Vice President of the United States. Go girl! This is just the beginning. You will not be the last and the presidential seat is up for grabs too for you and other powerful women of color. Just saying!
