With three kids under my care who have started learning online, I can tell you for free that teachers are underestimated. They are undervalued.
I am fed up! No kidding. This online learning ko easy. It’s a lot of hard work even for the parents and guardians who have to ensure that the kids are logged on and performing all their assigned tasks on time. I give up!
What’s your experience?
Are you a student who is going back to school?
Are you a parent with kids who are back to school?
Or are you a teacher who has to prepare online content for your students and monitor progress?
What are your thoughts about education delivery for kids in this covid-19 era?
Do you have any concerns?
Where are you located?
What precautions are in place in your city/country for kids to safely return to school?
Virtual vs In-class learning?
So many questions but please share.
I personally think that kids should go to school virtually for the rest of the year. Hopefully by January 2021, we should have figured out this covid-ish. I mean, how do you tell a 5-year old to keep their mask on all day while at school, or an 8-year old to practice social distancing? How is that even possible? I know that it will to tough for parents/guardians at this time but this too shall pass!
On a side note, I hear that in some countries (side eyes to my fellow Nigerians), almost everything seems to be back to normal. Someone joked that Covid had left Nigeria. Haha. Well done!
Just stay safe guys! Better safe than sorry.
Sending you love and light all the way from the West!
Until the next post, Stay safe, Stay strong and Keep hope alive!
Love,
Peony N Spice
